Day 01 :

Arrival & acclimatisation

Begin your journey from your pick-up point (for example Delhi/Chandigarh) and drive towards Spiti Valley.

Achieve a moderate altitude today, allowing body to adjust to thinner air.

Enjoy the scenic drive through lesser Himalayas, river valleys, and snow-dusted peaks.

On arrival at your overnight stay, take a gentle walk around the village/settlement, soak in mountain views and relax.

Tip: Keep hydrated, avoid strenuous activity today, and have warm clothes ready for evening.

Day 02 :

Deeper into Spiti: Monasteries & high vistas

After breakfast, drive to some of Spiti’s iconic monasteries such as Tabo Monastery and/or Dhankar Monastery, perched in dramatic locations.

Spend time exploring the ancient architecture, Buddhist culture and enjoying panoramic views of the valley.

In the afternoon, continue to your next base (perhaps around Kaza region) for two-night stay.

Tip: Carry a light jacket, and plan stops for photo breaks — the terrain here is spectacular.

Day 03 :

High-altitude villages & remote hamlets

Today explore remote high-altitude villages like Langza (famous for its Buddha statue and fossils), Hikkim (home to one of the highest post offices), and Komic (among the highest motorable villages).

Take your time to walk through the villages, meet locals, enjoy unique landscapes and culture.

Return to base by evening and rest.

Tip: These villages are remote — carry snacks, water, and check on mobile connectivity/vehicle condition.

Day 04 :

Nature, wildlife & the Pin Valley

Head toward the Pin Valley region — known for its national park, unique wildlife (like snow-leopards’ habitat), and remote villages such as Mud.

Enjoy a nature walk or gentle trek in Pin Valley National Park, absorb the quiet wilderness and high-altitude terrain.

Late afternoon return to Kaza or nearby for overnight stay.

Tip: Permit required for Pin Valley in some cases — plan ahead; also weather can fluctuate, so layering helps.

Day 05 :

Iconic Spiti highlights & vistas

Visit the famed Key Monastery perched high above the valley; absorb its serenity and historical significance.

Drive to the dramatic Chicham Bridge (if road permits) for stunning gorge & valley views.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure in Kaza — explore local markets, walk by the river, meet fellow travellers.

Tip: Sunrise/sunset light is amazing at these spots — plan accordingly for best photography.

Day 06 :

Lakes, high passes & alpine magic

Start early towards the high-altitude pass of Kunzum Pass (if route open); cross it and head to the stunning Chandratal Lake (“Moon Lake”) for a peaceful evening. zoyotrip.in

Optional: Stay overnight near the lake in camps to soak in the stars, alpine air and remote vibe.

Tip: The altitude is high — make sure you’re well acclimatised, carry warm gear and check road conditions with your tour operator.

Day 07 :

Return journey & farewell
